The owner of Smiles Chiropractic is Stacey Iles, her initials actually spell the word S. M. Iles... too good of a name to not run a business under, and when you meet Stacey, you will realise she typically has a smile on her face.
At Smiles Chiropractic you will not be pushed or scared into signing treatment contracts, having unnecessary scans or tests or asked to pay up front for care. Unless there are contraindications to care, YES, Stacey does treat on the first visit!
Stacey's style to treatment is very different to what you normally expect from a chiropractor. She uses a neuro muscular spinal technique (NMST) which essentially is getting the brain to reset muscles and joints to stop them being in so much pain. It is done with Stacey's skilled hands, finding tender or tight spots and giving them a focused "jab". It is a little like the hand held "gun" other chiropractors use by more precise. Other people have described it similar to Bowen therapy but Stacey has not undergone Bowen training.
Stacey also focuses on what you can do at home to help reduce your pain with exercises, stretching and topical products.

Dr Stacey Iles graduated from RMIT in Melbourne as a chiropractor in 2013 with distinction in both her Undergraduate and Master's degrees.
For the past 10 years she has worked in private practice in Ballarat treating everyone from babies to 90+ year olds.
While Stacey was at University she trained in a low force technique called Neuro Impulse Protocol and has used some of that to develop her own unique way of adjusting which is a neuro muscular spinal technique. Some have described it similar to Bowen therapy although Stacey has never formalised her Bowen training. Other's describe it similar to the "little clicky chiropractic gun", the activator, but done with her fingers. Her fingers have an uncanny ability to find sore spots, even ones' you did not know you had!
Stacey has a passion for helping maternity patients enjoy the most out of their pregnancies, knowing that the time you are pregnant passes so very quickly. She should know, she has birthed 5 children!
Stacey also loves being involved in sports, helping athletes (amateur and elite) perform at their best. Essentially Stacey wants people to be able to live the most happy and fulfilling lives!
Away from the chiropractic clinic, Stacey can be found painting, or enjoying spending time with her family in their many pursuits. She looks forward to finding a pole fitness studio and getting involved in sporting clubs.
Stacey is relocating up to Townsville in late March 2024 with some of her family, where it is hoped she can enjoy some of the amazing Townsville weather as she explores all the region has to offer.
Stacey is very excited to bring a different style of chiropractic care to the greater Townsville community.
At this point in time we are only offering Chiropractic care with Stacey.
It is hoped in time to find other allied health or massage professionals to join the clinic.
Stacey is skilled with treating Low Back and pelvic pain, shoulder dysfunction including frozen shoulders and bursitis; neck pain, headaches' migraines, wrist, hand and arm pain, leg, knee, ankle and foot pain; jaw or TMJ pain and dysfunction. She uses a hands on neuro muscular spinal technique with a drop piece table (pictured to the left).
Initial consultations are 30 minutes and cost $120
Review visits are 15 minutes and cost $75
